I know that that you guys are expecting the worst cause of my not so subtle title to this thread and believe me when I say, its worse than you can imagine! The entire car has lost its gleam! Light reflects haphazardly as if the car was straightened out after a tumble! There are white bits everywhere! and I mean everywhere! The beadings are all whitened now! The markings on the lights, indicators etc have white stuff all over them! The bonnet looks as if someone spilled milk and it wasnt washed off properly! You can actually see the buff machine marks everywhere! These guys literally rubbed half the paint off! Went down the stairs to where the car was parked and my jaw dropped! I got up, showered and got ready for work. Maybe the mischievous kids poured something. He felt that the soap had not been washed off properly. It did not shine the way I hoped it would.īoy was I in for a surprise the next morning! My dad asked me if I took the car for a wash. There was only a couple of overhead flourescent tubes and the car looked fine. I asked a few questions, repeated the "handle with care" instructions and left. It had some sort of white dust all over it. Reluctantly I left to finish my shopping.Īn hour later, I returned and they said the work would take another hour. They asked me to get on with my shopping and promised that they'd be done by the time I was back. They're kids with a uniform and probably high on sugar! I was a little concerned but was assured of their best service. And let me tell you, these guys are not professionally trained men. I stayed around for an hour or so and watched them work, convincing the guys to ensure that the job is pristine. I even paid an extra 200 bucks to the supervisor so that he will oversee the job himself and have the work done as if it were his own car. The cost was Rs.2500 for the complete job excluding interior cleaning. They promised that the car will look as if its just out of the showroom. The weekend when I took it to Sparkle for the customary interior cleaning, they convinced me to get the polish job done. I go with a complete interior job by a professional every two/three months. I hate dirty interiors and ensure that the car interiors are cleaned every other day. The bonnet was ridden with such scratches and I was thinking of a polish or touch up by the original painter. Recently, I've been having some trouble with kids in the neighbourhood intentionally scratching the car. I promptly refused since the car was recently painted and did not require a polish. I've been using their cleaning services on my Lancer for a while now and everytime the sales person would try and persuade me into getting a full polish job done for my car. I just wanted to warn everyone on the pathetic polishing job done by Sparkle Car Spa based out of Forum and Garuda Malls in Bangalore.
